You would figure taking one off the monthly price would go down. Nope it went up. Figure that. And we have a cancel notice. I made a payment for 88.00 for June. And we owe 100.00 yet for the June bill and we got a cancel notice for June 14. Sobs are worthless to work with.

I had Allstate for over 20 years and it just kept going up. I would contact my agent to see if anything could be saved and they would adjust it slightly each year, but it was over $200 per month and I had a perfect driving record, and my vehicles were getting older and older. Finally I was fed up and got quotes from nearly a dozen insurers and Esurance beat them all, lowering my payments by more than HALF! Now I'm worried, though, since Allstate has now purchased Esurance. Will my rates start to go up and up again? Time will tell.
I have been a GEICO customer for about least 15 years. Claims and customer service are not the issue with them. After said years of faithfully paying my insurance on time and renewing each year I accidently back into a car in my driveway. The cars were repaired without incident. However, GEICO penalized me by taking away my good driver discount and increase my monthly insurance rate by nearly $100.00 ; leving a hefty penalty for making a claim. I can’t imagine the money they made off of me during the 15 years I’ve faithfully paid auto insurance. I am hunting for a new auto insurance carrier since GEICO obviously thinks driving is perfect and accidents never happen.
I don't believe everything you hear or reviews either. This world is lied of the wicked one. I want to get insurance for my vehicle. I couldn't afford the one I got. I try State Farm to Progressive. They couldn't offer collisions or comprehensive. Some joke. Newer vehicles has to have full coverages. I was out of hope trying to find insurance. Until I saw General. This insurance will help people get back on the road and reasonable price. In order to have business don't lied to your client is simple as that. You want to help people then that is your goal.

I would give them no stars if I could. This company is horrible. I and my husband went to change our insurance from our separate policies into a combined policy and signed up with them on June 8th. We were offered a better-combined rate to stay with Geico so we faxed in cancellation on the 11th three days into the policy after paying original $90 to sign up. We called to see if there would be a refund, and got a big Fat NO!! Apparently, in the fine print, they keep 10% of your original premium which was $67 then charged us another $15 to process that and the remaining $7 was applied to the three days we actually had a policy!! Make [redacted] sure to read the fine print on this policy before buying. We basically paid $90 for three days worth of insurance.
Saved me $370.00 on a three car policy and have nad no problems with the two claims I had within the last three years. Easy to work with on the phone or on line, you can choose your own repair shop and they will back you if the repairs are not correct. Had State Farm before and they did not have a firm handle on my account. I was recieving notification of changes constantly, $11.00 here and $14.00 there. When I would call to inquire, If I could get through they were never sure or justify why the small changes. They took all my pocket change, will not go back, I found a new home after years at SF.

I have had a pretty positive experience with this company until I went to renew my 3 car tags just to find out that the registration lady have been cancelled due to non verification of insurance. I call numerous times only to get an incompetent person to send me the Letter of Experience instead of The State of Alabama Tag office. In total I called 12 times and I received 12 letters that weren’t even supposed to be sent to me. Since I couldn’t get my insurance company to verify, even though I had all the proof, I received a fine of $200 per car plus the cost of my tags.

I LOVE nationwide! I previously had State farm under my parents, and switched onto my own when quoted. I received a call the next week telling me it would be 90 more a month! I called EVERYWHERE and the cheapest I could find was 4000/6 months, until I called nationwide. (I am only 18 with a new car and high coverage. ) My new agent is VERY nice and informative and I am only paying 1200/6months. One week after switching, someone totaled my car, and Nationwide was right there, helping me through everything. I would NEVER switch! Go Nationwide!

I had insurance with The General since 7/12/2016: I switched to Allstate after purchasing a new vehicle and have gotten nothing but grief including them charging me 10% of my policy premium for early cancellation. I was rear-ended in September and The General did not fight for me on the claim side. Instead I kept receiving phone calls from Ashley the adjuster asking me if I was down receiving PT and she closed the claim. Mind you - my son has a kidney transplant 2 weeks after the accident so taking care of myself was not a number 1 priority but him. After cancelling my insurance they asked me for a letter of underwriting. Not too sure what this app is but have emailed them to find out and after 2+ years of being insured I moved and they also raised my insurance for my children who do not drive nor have license for living in my home. Horrible company. Purchaser BEWARE. THEY ARE NOT AND DO NOT FIGHT FOR YOU!
I used to have Farmers insurance until I got in an accident. Even though I had a local insurance agent, because I had to file my claim after hours, I had to contact a generic claims call center. Then, since I initiated the claim using the 1-800 number, I had to complete the rest of the process that way. At that point I was asking myself why I was paying a premium to have a local agent when he was doing nothing to help me. After the whole experience, I decided to shop around and ended up choosing Progressive. They had much better prices and since it no longer mattered to me to have a local agent, I signed up. I've had nothing but a positive experience with Progressive so far.
I shopped around for the best price for the coverage I wanted and Progressive undercut the others by around $1200. Every 6 months my monthly premium goes down. After the first six months we added another car, and the premium only went up by $6 because the policy dropped by such a significant amount. They've been good at getting my documents to me quickly, and having 24 hour customer service - which I'm coming to appreciate more and more with the odd hours I'm awake and work.

Hi Stephen – I think you’re doing the right thing – as long as the premium continues to be reasonable compared to the competition. Even though we obsess on low rates, quality of service matters. It does little good if you get the cheapest policy, then they stick you when you have a claim. With must auto claims there’s going to be a human error factor (especially with new drivers), and you can’t be with companies that will hold that against you to such a degree that it seems like they no longer want your business.

Without knowing what level of coverage and what options might be included in the quote, it is impossible to make an apples-to-apples comparison with other companies. The General Insurance Co. advertises their customer service is rated highly…. WRONG – one of their insured vehicle was driven by a drunk driver… left the road way, crossed over on coming traffic, crashed into my parked car, taken to jail by sheriff’s, police report taken. They did nothing to track down their insured to get a report. They would do nothing without a statement from their insured…I personally had to go find their insured which was not hard… I drove to their home. I took with me a document and ask the insured to sign which stated she knew the insured vehicle was driven by her friend, and that she felt her insurance co should honor her policy. Then needless to say had to fight them tooth and nail to get them to pay the claim to replace my car as it was totaled.
