I just saved about $400 dollars a year by switching to AAA from State Farm. The coverage for my cars is the same and the coverage for my home is much better (and cheaper) than before. I have a credit card through AAA, roadside assistance through AAA and finally, my insurance through AAA. I could not be happier. On all fronts, AAA has the best customer service I've ever encountered.
Farm Bureau has paid every claim we have had fairly and quickly. I hydroplaned after a tire blew out and my Honda flew over an deep embankment and landed upright but the damage was significant. Again, I was easing out of a parking place at a restaurant when a large pickup blew through the lot and couldn't stop. My car was a total loss and Farm Bureau gave me what seemed to be more than they needed to based on my research of my car's worth. A third time, I bumped someone at a right turn stop sign and they took care of the dent on the other car, no questions asked. If I were them, I would refer me to another company, but they continue to offer great service at an very fair price and have just insured our new condo at an excellent rate..

I don't believe everything you hear or reviews either. This world is lied of the wicked one. I want to get insurance for my vehicle. I couldn't afford the one I got. I try State Farm to Progressive. They couldn't offer collisions or comprehensive. Some joke. Newer vehicles has to have full coverages. I was out of hope trying to find insurance. Until I saw General. This insurance will help people get back on the road and reasonable price. In order to have business don't lied to your client is simple as that. You want to help people then that is your goal.

My daughters parked car was hit, from a claimant from General who failed to report it. It took approximately 20 phone calls and multiple emails and texts to get the ball moving to get a claim submitted. After the car was looked at by an adjuster a estimate was submitted. After reviewing the estimate General slashed the estimate in half ( took off $1,100 dollars). They attempted to use sub-standard parts to make the repair. Needless to say this was by far the worst experience that I have ever had with an insurance company. I pray that I never have to deal with General again. Signed , an extremely frustrated and irritated car owner. This was truly a hellish experience!
The General Auto Insurance Company is a non-standard auto insurance carrier. If you’ve had a lapse in your auto insurance coverage, have less than perfect credit, are a high risk driver or need SR-22 insurance; The General may offer you insurance when others won’t or at a more affordable rate. For drivers with good records, the rates are substantially higher. One of the good points about The General auto insurance policy is that you are often able to pay your premium payments in affordable monthly installments with low down-payment options.
After 6 months of coverage they raised my rate from $742 to $1018. I received a bill saying had to pay $820.49 by December 28th 2019 to keep insurance till June 2019. I paid $820.49 on December 27th 2019. Found a better & cheaper policy on January 7th 2019. Called The General to cancel. The customer service rep stated I would get back $45. They charged me $775 for 10 days of insurance. The customer service rep stated NY state approves these practices.
